FROM THE ARTIST.....
Some of my most memorable performances have been house concerts through the years. It's such a special time to perform for listeners who are new or familiar with my material.
Something special always seems to happen, I call it house concert magic!

ARE YOU A HOUSE CONCERT HOST?
HOUSE CONCERT FAQ
WHO IS A HOUSE CONCERT HOST?
Someone who wants to support live music and can round up 15, 20 or 25ish friends for an intimate night of live music in your living room, basement, backyard, etc....
HOUSE CONCERT vs HOUSE PARTY
a house concert is an intimate listening room event for a quiet, attentive audience
a house party is background music for your party. Not opposed to this option but a house concert is preferred concerning the following information
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
In most cases a house concert may not cost the host anything upfront.
Usually a "suggested donation" for your guests, pre-determined by the host and myself, does the trick.
Finances are important to my ability to travel and perform but in the end my focus is on you and your audience having a memorable time.
DO I NEED TO REARRANGE MY HOME?
Not necessarily. I’ve played house concerts where nothing was moved, I played around the furniture.
Some hosts will push out some furniture in favor of some fold up chairs.
Up to you and your home
DOES THE HOST NEED TO FEED THE AUDIENCE?
Only if you want. Some house concerts are potluck, everyone brings a small dish.
Some hosts provide snacks. Some order pizza. Some don’t provide food at all.
Each is perfectly okay!
WHERE?
I travel everywhere and anywhere. So even if you are not close to southern PA, I can still come to you.
WHAT NIGHT OF THE WEEK?
Any. Whatever is best for you and your guests. Although last minute opportunities are worth asking about, it would be best to try to book 3-8 months in advance. Most house concerts last about 60-90mins, some 2hrs. Plus some time before and after (if you choose) for guests to mingle and hangout.
TEN TEN HOUSE CONCERTS: Ten songs. Ten guests. Go great with a Sunday or weeknight. Usually last about 60mins. Perfect length for people to enjoy a weeknight concert and still get home at a decent time.
HOW LOUD IS A HOUSE CONCERT?
House concerts are intimate concerts, for the majority I don’t even use a microphone/speakers.
Even if I do, it’s not very loud. Your neighbors would never know.
WHY HOST A HOUSE CONCERT?
It’s a wonderful way to support your favorite musician.
Plus, house concerts are more intimate than most shows that take place in a brewery, winery, etc....
I have a chance to tell behind-the-scenes stories, debut new songs.
The whole event is unique to you and your guests

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER AS A HOST....

- What is the limit of people who can comfortably attend?
WHAT THEY SAY....
"We would place Nick in our top 10% of shows we've hosted. Great lyrics and vocals and our first show with a resonator guitar. We would definitely host him again." - Paul V of Whitesburg KY
"House concerts are the best! If you love music and like an easy way to entertain your friends, then house concerts are a win-win. Nick performed at our home last fall to an attentive and appreciative audience. The intimate setting was the perfect venue for listening to his beautiful music. Invite Nick to sing at your house; you will be glad you did!" - Vicky D of Gettysburg PA
"Nick's voice and guitar filled the room beautifully and his stories kept us entertained. If you get a chance to see Nick at a house show, GO! Your ears will thank you." - Marla K of The Green Room (Ephrata PA)
"Nick brought the energy! We loved his sound, his stories, and friendly style! We had a pop up rain storm and had to move everyone inside, he moved without missing a beat and finished the show inside. You are guaranteed to enjoy yourself if you have Nick perform for your group!" - D. Martin (east coast NC)
"We have been doing our House Concerts since 2018 and Nick Andrew Staver has got to be one of the best we have had. Nick is a wonderful person, honest and a great storyteller. His guitar playing and vocals were outstanding and he connected perfectly with the audience. Nick will be missed but also welcome to return for another performance." - K. Eberly (Ocala, FL)
